A formal comment to the planning authority counts for more than a petition. Say in your own words how this would affect you, and stick to planning grounds.
- Good planning grounds include: impact on the Green Belt or countryside, energy use and carbon, water supply, noise, traffic, wildlife and heritage. Developers' promises are not guarantees: ask for them to be made binding.
Comment on the application through Northumberland County Council's planning portal (council reference not captured); write to the case officer and the Strategic Planning Committee.
