Get ready to object

There's no planning application yet, so there's nothing formal to object to. This is the time to get organised, tell the developer and councillors what you think, and be ready when the application goes in.

  • Quote the reference: 2017/2794
  • Good planning grounds include: impact on the Green Belt or countryside, energy use and carbon, water supply, noise, traffic, wildlife and heritage. Developers' promises are not guarantees: ask for them to be made binding.

Once an application is validated, comment on the South Norfolk and Broadland planning portal or via planning@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk. Until then, Stop Norwich Mega Data Centre publishes a template objection letter and contact details for planning officers and MPs (campaign group's own material). Developer's consultation closed 12 July 2026.
