Three data centres round Cambois? Count them together
TBC Partners has asked Northumberland County Council whether a data centre of up to 300MW on about 12 hectares at Factory Road, Cambois, needs a full environmental assessment. It would be the third scheme lined up around Cambois, next to QTS's ten-building campus and the West Sleekburn plans.

To Northumberland County Council: Require a full environmental assessment for the Factory Road data centre, and count all three Cambois schemes together before anything more is approved.
Why local people are worried
Get ready to object
There's no planning application yet, so there's nothing formal to object to. This is the time to get organised, tell the developer and councillors what you think, and be ready when the application goes in.
- Good planning grounds include: impact on the Green Belt or countryside, energy use and carbon, water supply, noise, traffic, wildlife and heritage. Developers' promises are not guarantees: ask for them to be made binding.
No consultation is open on a screening request. If a full application is submitted, comment on the Northumberland County Council planning portal. Until then write to local councillors and MP Ian Lavery.
